Founded in 2015 by Ben 'Bish' Bishop, Builtbybish has grown from a small refurbishment crew into one of Cardiff's most trusted whole-home renovation companies — without losing the family-run feel that started it.

Ben Bishop — "Bish" to everyone who's worked with him — started Builtbybish in 2015 after a decade on Cardiff sites. He took on the small jobs first: a bathroom in Roath, a back-room knock-through in Splott, a kitchen refit in Canton.
Word travelled. By 2018 the team had grown to six and was being booked for full-house refurbishments across Cardiff Bay, Pontcanna and Penarth. Today we run eight to twelve concurrent renovations with a core team of fifteen and a tight circle of trusted specialist trades.
Through all of it the principle hasn't changed: do work we'd be happy to put our own family in. That means dedicated project managers on every job, honest fixed pricing, certified trades, and a finish that holds up.
